Dreama UNICEF

Dreama Orphan Care Center, in collaboration with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), has announced the launch of a series of webinars aimed at enriching the intellectual and practical knowledge of social workers and enhancing their capacities through the exchange of knowledge and experiences among specialists. This initiative aligns with the Qatar National Vision 2030, particularly in the areas of human and social development. These webinars are designed to improve the quality of social services, encourage innovation and scientific thinking, and apply best practices in social care, ultimately enhancing the care provided to children and communities both nationally and internationally.

This partnership between Dreama and UNICEF targets social workers globally, including institutions in Qatar and around the world, in addition to researchers, academics interested in developing the social care sector, caregiving families, and entities specializing in social work. The partnership seeks to foster communication between experts and specialists in the field, facilitating the exchange of scientific and practical knowledge to improve the outcomes of social care and raise the level of services provided to children and their families.

The webinars will cover key topics, including strengthening alternative family care arrangements, child protection, and supporting the social care workforce. They also aim to promote scientific research, encourage creativity and critical thinking among participants. These webinars will be held throughout the year as part of the joint efforts to build capacities and share expertise among professionals in the field.

Her Excellency Sheikha Najla bint Ahmed Al Thani, Executive Director of Dreama, said:

"Our goal from this partnership is to enhance the intellectual and practical capacities of those working in social services by equipping them with the latest theoretical and practical approaches. Through these webinars, we aim to improve the quality of services provided and strengthen communication between those involved in the field, benefiting families and communities both locally and globally. We also emphasize the importance of cooperation between local and international organizations to achieve sustainable development in social care."

This partnership reflects the commitment of Dreama and UNICEF to developing social care programs and enhancing the level of services provided to children and their families. The partnership also aims to support communication between experts and specialists and promote evidence-based social care practices and global best practices.

Mr. Anthony MacDonald, Head of the UNICEF Office in Doha, stated:
"We at UNICEF are extremely proud to collaborate with Dreama Orphan Care Center in this initiative, which aims to strengthen social work and protect children's rights. This partnership is not limited to a single event but serves as the foundation for a long-term collaboration aimed at building the capacities of social care workers and exchanging best practices locally and internationally. Through these webinars, we aim to make tangible and sustainable progress in protecting children and supporting families in Qatar and beyond. Our commitment to Dreama is an ongoing one, focused on achieving a shared vision of improving the lives of our children locally and internationally."
