According to the requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health System (IOS 45001:2015), the Orphan Care Center “Dreama” organized a training program that includes a set of workshops on crisis management procedures within residential care presented by the Dreama team and a workshop on how to deal with them. With health crises, in cooperation with the Hamad International Training Centre, with the aim of educating workers about the dangers of crises occurring, broadening the workers’ horizons and training them on how to act quickly, and clarifying and disseminating the safe procedures that should be followed when a crisis occurs. The training program targeted providers of internal care services and social and psychological specialists. Administrators, foster carers and residential care workers. Her Excellency Sheikha Najla bint Ahmed Al Thani, Acting Executive Director of the Center, said that these workshops come within the framework of building and developing the capabilities of the Center’s employees, and training them on how to deal with health crises. She pointed out the importance of the Guide to Crisis Management Procedures within Inpatient Care, which helps in understanding the methods. The best way to manage crises, and explains the procedural steps that are easy to follow in the event of crises or an emergency in internal care, and to emerge from the crisis without causing damage to lives and lives and with the least possible loss to property, and noted that these procedures that were explained during the training program will help avoid exacerbation. Sheikha Najla Al Thani stressed the importance of spreading awareness among beneficiaries and workers, knowledge of immediate action in crises, and using the available tools available to beneficiaries and internal care workers, through awareness. Periodic tests, mock tests, and training courses for crisis management, acting calmly without causing fear or terror among everyone present, and seeking the assistance of the competent authorities if necessary. It is worth noting that, in order to care for our orphaned sons and daughters in the State of Qatar, the “Dreama” Orphan Care Center was established in the year 2002, with the aim of contributing to providing the necessary care for this original group in society, ensuring their stability in alternative foster families, integrating them into society, and educating society about the importance of embrace. . The center has been operating since 2013 under the umbrella of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, which in turn is affiliated with the Ministry of Social Development and Family.
