In a significant step to enhance cooperation among national entities toward shared humanitarian and developmental goals, Orphan Care Center “Dreama” and Al Rayyan Municipality have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance their shared vision of supporting and empowering orphans within the Qatari community.

The signing ceremony, held at Al Rayyan Municipality headquarters, was attended by Sheikha Najla bint Ahmed Al Thani, Executive Director of Orphan Care Center “Dreama,” and Mr. Jaber Hassan Al Jaber, Director of Al Rayyan Municipality. Mr. Ahmed Al Ghanim, Director of the Community Awareness Office at Orphan Care Center “Dreama,” delivered a speech during the event, highlighting the importance of this partnership:

"This agreement represents a significant milestone in achieving our shared goals of creating a supportive environment for orphans, enabling them to play an active role in society, and providing initiatives that meet their needs and aspirations."

The MoU aims to strengthen joint efforts between Orphan Care Center “Dreama” and Al Rayyan Municipality by collaborating in key areas that serve orphans and improve their quality of life. The agreement includes utilizing Al Rayyan Municipality’s facilities, such as theaters, parks, and historical landmarks, to host events and workshops aimed at empowering orphans and fostering their integration into society. Additionally, the MoU seeks to transform areas under Al Rayyan Municipality into child-friendly environments that cater to orphans' needs and promote their well-being.

Furthermore, the two entities will deliver awareness programs and capacity-building initiatives targeting orphans and their caregivers, while also collaborating on promoting activities and initiatives through digital platforms and media. The partnership will also facilitate recreational activities and trips for orphans, ensuring access to various services provided by Al Rayyan Municipality.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Jaber Hassan Al Jaber, Director of Al Rayyan Municipality, emphasized the significance of this partnership:

"Signing this agreement with Orphan Care Center “Dreama” reflects Al Rayyan Municipality's commitment to supporting national initiatives that contribute to community development and ensure the well-being of groups that deserve care and attention. Through this partnership, we aim to achieve goals that benefit orphans and strengthen community cooperation."

Sheikha Najla bint Ahmed Al Thani, Executive Director of Orphan Care Center “Dreama,” echoed this sentiment, stating that the MoU demonstrates the center’s commitment to supporting its beneficiaries and ensuring their active integration into society. She added that this initiative aligns with the goals of sustainable development and fosters the role of orphans in building Qatar’s future.

The Memorandum of Understanding is valid for two years and may be renewed upon mutual agreement. A joint committee, comprising representatives from both entities, will oversee the implementation of the MoU, propose initiatives, and ensure that the collaboration achieves its objectives and sustains its positive impact.
